Arboricultural Method Statement (AMS)

 

The Arboricultural Method Statement is a methodology for the implementation of any aspect of development that has the potential to result in the loss of, or damage to trees. It should consider the following;

a)    The design, sequencing and precise location of all protective barriers and ground protection
 
b)    Guidelines for any work to be carried out within RPAs
 
c)     Guidelines for new soft landscaping
 
d)    Guidelines for the installation of new surfacing
 
e)    Guidelines for the installation of new services, if, as and when necessary
 
f)     Recommendations for site storage areas, cement mixing and washing points for equipment and vehicles
 
g)    Guidance as to the nature and extent of the involvement of the arboricultural consultant,
 
h)    Advice regarding the developer’s responsibility.
